The "Empathetic Apathist" refers to someone who experiences and understands the emotions of others (empathy) while simultaneously maintaining a detached or indifferent attitude towards those emotions (apathy). Having a logical and mostly stoic demeanor, but with an added layer of ironic awareness and a curious, questioning perspective. However, spontaneous or triggered emotional reactions can also be attributed to this personality which may fall anywhere on the empathetic apathy continuum.
