Reddit Visibility Score
Reddit Visibility Score is Reddex’s daily read on how visible and how healthy your brand is across tracked Reddit mentions.
One number is a compromise. The score mixes volume of posts and comments, sentiment, engagement, which subreddits they live in, and whether AI engines are already citing those threads. It is a dashboard needle, not a credit rating.
A spike can be good (launch AMA) or bad (outage). Always open the sentiment split. PR teams that only watch the score get burned by sarcastic “love this brand” threads.
Unlike karma on a user account, this is brand-level and includes comments you did not write. Lurker-heavy subs can move the score with a handful of loud posts.
Use it next to AI Visibility Score. When both dip, you have a narrative problem. When Reddit dips and AI lags by a week, you are watching the leak in slow motion.
The score is only as good as the keyword list. Track product names, common misspellings, and the insult versions. Missing a nickname means you will “discover” a crisis on Twitter after ChatGPT already summarized it.
Don’t bonus people on the score alone. Bonus on time-to-human on high-reach negative threads, and on whether AI citations of those threads decay after you actually fixed the thing. Vanity spikes from meme subs should be labeled as such.
Examples
- Score jumps 20 points after a viral teardown. Sentiment is 70% negative. Celebrate nothing. Staff the thread.
- Score is flat, but AI citation lists suddenly include a year-old Reddit post. Visibility on Reddit did not change. Retrieval did. Different playbook.

The tone of a single mention — a Reddit comment or an AI sentence — as opposed to a rolled-up score.
Reddit citations are when an AI answer points at a thread or comment as evidence. They are one of the loudest unofficial ranking factors in consumer categories.
Reddit sentiment is the tone of posts and comments about your brand: positive, negative, mixed, or sarcastic enough to fool a naive classifier.
FAQ
Is this public like Subreddit Stats? +
The score is for your project’s tracked keywords and brand terms. Public subreddit analytics pages on Reddex are a separate view of communities.
Why did the score move overnight? +
A front-page post, a bot wave, or a crawler catching up. Open the mention list before you email the CEO.
Can I game it with alts? +
You can try. Mods, users, and our classifiers are not on your side. It also poisons the AI record.
